Fighters’ bash has some flash

Looks as if Dave Grohl is the new Tom Jones. The super-hot rocker inspired a panty raid at the Emmy Awards after-party given by TV Guide at the Lot Studios in WeHo. Grohl and his fellow Foo Fighters were bashing away, while female crowd members were flashing away. Not your average black-tie affair.... Cool times at the Hollywood Athletic Club: First off, Friday’s uber-sexy electro-industrial dance club, Peep Show, is moving to the newly revamped Sunset Boulevard nightclub and look for a special performance by L.A.’s Dirty Sanchez. In addition, promoters Jason Lavitt and Joseph Brooks are already gearing up for their 7th Annual Halloween Masquerade Ball, a ghastly blowout that always features the most mind-bending original costumes. This year, the event takes place at the H.A.C. on Oct. 25 and jeepers creepers! They’re bringing back the original queens from the Club Make-Up house band, so you know it’s going to be off the hook.

Boy George to take a spin

Still underwhelmed by the number of Twizzler-size chicas you see in Hollywood? It might be time to stop by Club Envy, a Friday night dance scene for the big and curvy. Club Envy is now at Club G on Manchester Boulevard, near Crenshaw. And here’s a plus: Club G is located right next-door to Tony’s BBQ, which is open till 2 a.m. for those who wanna get their grub on....

Eddie Van Halen was among the stars who turned out to see the Darkness perform at the Roxy on Monday. The rockin’s British boys have the No. 1 album in the U.K..... Speaking of arena rock, L.A.’s own thundering quartet, Tsar, will be ripping it up at Spaceland tonight.... For a walk on the wild side, join psychobilly bands Hellbound Hayride and the Hellriders at the Thunderbird Saloon in NoHo on Friday.... We hear Cobra Lily/Cobras & Matadors owner, Steven Arroyo, just opened a new spot in Silver Lake called “Malo.” Muy bueno.... Speaking of new digs, Steve Marlton of Portland, Ore., took over the reigns at Moomba and transformed it into Pearl, a 7,500-square-foot restaurant and nightclub that makes its debut this week....

Rocker Texas Terri is back from yet another tour of Spain. Fans can see her on the silver screen on Friday, when Terri makes her debut in Gina Gershon’s new flick, “Prey for Rock & Roll.” Punk rock attorney Anita Rivas slipped me a CD from the band Vineland at the recent Sex Pistols show. Fronted by English transplant Roger Gisborne, Vineland is a garage band for the future. The band plays Oct. 15 at Boardner’s in Hollywood.... And on Oct. 11, Dragstrip 66 is hosting “Attack of the Zombie Supermodels” at Rudolpho’s in Silver Lake. It’s a dead man’s party. Who could ask for more?

Just in time for the holidaze, Immortal Records is gearing up to release “A Santa Clause,” a punk-rock Christmas album featuring Blink-182 and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Sales from the album benefit the Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
