2 Men Accused of Imprisoning Worker
Two brothers have been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, false imprisonment and making terrorist threats against a day laborer whom they allegedly bound with duct tape and locked in a Huntington Beach storage container.
William Robert Martinez of Orange and his brother Stephen Martinez of Huntington Beach were arrested Saturday following the alleged attack on Miguel A. Carmona of Stanton, whom they had previously hired to work on a house, police said.
Believing Carmona had stolen some jewelry -- an allegation he denies -- they imprisoned him to get the items back, said Lt. Tom Donnelly, a spokesman for the Huntington Beach Police Department.
Carmona escaped and notified police.
