Suspect Arrested in Theft of Patrol Car

A man suspected of stealing a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department patrol car and then eluding authorities after a high-speed chase last week was arrested Sunday after deputies forced him out of a residence with tear gas.

Arturo Munoz DeHaro, 35, was arrested about 8:45 a.m. after a six-hour standoff with deputies at a home on Basetdale Avenue, said Lt. Al Garcia of the sheriff’s City of Industry station.
