Driver Killed in Crash After Running Stop Sign
A 28-year-old Santa Ana driver died after running a stop sign and plowing into another car early Saturday, authorities said.
The man, whom police did not identify, was driving a Honda Civic north on Kilson Drive shortly before 3 a.m. when he ran the stop sign and broadsided an Infiniti traveling west on St. Gertrude Place, said Lt. Chuck Deakins, a spokesman for the Santa Ana Police Department.
The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene, while the four occupants of the Infiniti were taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana with non-life-threatening injuries, Deakins said.
