Baa Humbug to Ads on Sheep, Mayor Says
From Times Wire Reports
A Dutch company that is blanketing roadside sheep with its logo faces a $60,000 fine, but the company says it is the mayor of a small town nearby who should feel sheepish for trying to halt the ad campaign.
The hotel bookings company Hotels.nl began covering sheep with blankets bearing its logo along highways near Amsterdam, Leiden, Groningen and The Hague on April 1.
The mayor of the northern town of Skarsterlan said the firm had violated a local law that bans advertising along freeways.
