* at Kansas City 11, Cleveland 7: John Buck and Mike Sweeney each homered for the second straight game, fueling a five-run second inning for the Royals. Grady Sizemore hit the 11,000th home run in Indians’ history.
* at Baltimore 5, Toronto 2: Corey Patterson stole home at the end of a botched rundown and Brian Roberts went three for three with two walks for the Orioles.
* at New York 8, Boston 3: The Yankees beat the Red Sox for only the third time in nine games this season.
* Seattle 5, at Tampa Bay 1: Jose Guillen had four hits and two runs batted in and Miguel Batista gave up one run in six innings. In his last 10 games, Guillen is 14 for 37 with three home runs and 17 runs batted in.
