A Dutch mayor said five Turks and four Americans were the passengers killed when a Turkish Airlines jet slammed into a field near Amsterdam’s main airport.

Haarlemmermeer Mayor Theo Weterings said the names of the victims would not be released until the bodies had been formally identified.

He also said that investigators count 135 passengers and crew on the flight, not 134.
