Gunmen threw a grenade and opened fire outside a news television station in Mexico’s northern city of Monterrey, the station’s reporters said on the air. No one was hurt.

The attackers hurled the grenade at the regional studios of top broadcaster Grupo Televisa and left a message warning journalists against reporting on drug war violence.

The message left on a car bumper near the station read: “Stop reporting just on us. Report on the narco’s political leaders,” in apparent reference to government officials.
