Why it matters: The pro scouts should be out in force for this Southern Section Division I second-round playoff game that features hard-throwing left-hander Tyler Matzek of Capistrano Valley under the lights. Matzek went only four innings Friday in an 8-4 victory over Long Beach Wilson, enabling Coach Bob Zamora to bring him back to face a Trinity League power that relies on pitching and defense. UC Irvine-bound junior Andrew Thurman will get the start on the mound for the Lancers.
