Eagles and Cowboys play Sunday night

Al Michaels serves as the play-by-play announcer and Cris Collinsworth provides the color commentary for tonight’s Dallas at Philadelphia game (5:15 p.m., Channel 4):

Michaels says ...

You never would have thought three or four weeks ago that this would be the game of the week. But you know what? It’s the game of the week. You were looking at both these teams and wondering if they could stay within hailing distance of the Giants, and now you’ve got a situation where the Giants are in third place. It’s amazing. You can almost never go wrong when you match up teams in this division.

Collinsworth says ...

For the Cowboys, you have to beat quality teams in order to be taken seriously in this division. With the way the Eagles beat them in their last game of last season, that sort of set the tone for this year, with a lot of people picking Philadelphia as a Super Bowl favorite. Not only was that an embarrassing way to end it, but now people are saying, “Who’s to say they can’t do the same thing to the Cowboys again this year? If they can put another one of those on them, what would that do to the division and to the Cowboys and their fans?” There’s a lot of subplots to this one.
