Jamie McCourt asks $55 million for Westside estate

Jamie McCourt has hoisted her Westside estate on the market at $55 million.

The former Dodgers chief executive and co-owner bought the property a decade ago with her then-husband Frank McCourt for close to its $25 million asking price, according to Times archives.

The compound, built in 1931, sits on 2.6 acres behind gates at the end of a several hundred foot long driveway. Designed for grand-scale entertaining, the contemporary European-style villa features a step-down living room, a commercial kitchen, an art studio, an atrium, a bar, a billiard room, a home theater, a library/study, a dance studio and a wine cellar.

Besides the main house, are a guest house, a staff apartment and a pool house. There are five bedrooms, six bathrooms and 20,637 square feet of living space.

The indoor swimming pool has a spa as well as steam and massage rooms.

The Times Mapping Database considers the community to be Westwood, while the Multiple Listing Service references it as Holmby Hills. The estate is near the Playboy Mansion.

McCourt, 60, bought a 22-acre vineyard estate in Napa in the fall for $11.25 million.
