Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban lead ACM Award nominees
Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw and Keith Urban lead the pack of nominees at this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards.
Lambert and McGraw each earned seven nominations. Lambert is competing in the female vocalist of the year category for her eighth consecutive year, and entertainer of the year for the third time. McGraw is up for album of the year and single of the year.
Keith Urban is also a major contender with six nominations, including nods for male vocalist of the year and single of the year.

Fresh off her Grammy performance and win for country album, Kacey Musgraves pulled down five nominations, including album of the year, song of the Year and female vocalist of the year. Taylor Swift, beaten by Musgraves at the Grammys for best country album, also has five nominations, including entertainer of the year and a seventh consecutive nod for female vocalist of the year.
Also nominated — the rapper Nelly, for vocal event of the year for his collaboration with breakout artist Florida Georgia Line on a remix of their hit single “Cruise.”
Fans can vote for entertainer of the year starting March 24, and voting for new artist of the year is underway at voteacm.com, where they can see a full list of nominees. The telecast wil air live Sunday, April 6 at 8 p.m.
