Bradley Cooper proves Louis CK wrong; universe just laughs [Video]

Share

Every once in a while the universe connects its dots in a way so perfect that it couldn’t have been planned, only unearthed. Today’s one-degree-of-separation story is between Bradley Cooper and Louis CK, with a little Sean Penn thrown in for good measure.

We’re just going to set up the resulting video for you, because it’s priceless to hit play and see how it unfolds.

It starts with audio pulled from CK’s 2008 interview with the BBC’s Steve Merchant. The comedian, who was touring Britain at the time, gets a laugh at the expense of those earnest actors who ask questions of the stars at the end of each “Inside the Actors Studio” episode — and are never heard from again. Specifically, he references a 1999 Penn interview done on the James Lipton-hosted series.

And the universe takes it from there. Oh, the irony.
Incidentally, the BBC interview was conducted one year before Cooper hit it big in “The Hangover.” In 2008, the two-time Oscar nominee was still doing movies with titles like “The Midnight Meat Train.” CK had already won a 1999 Emmy for his writing work on “The Chris Rock Show.”
