Rob Kardashian sued for alleged assault, robbery in photog clash

Rob Kardashian has been sued in civil court for allegedly assaulting and taking a memory card from a paparazzo who snapped shirtless pictures of him back in March.

The suit stems from a March 28 incident between Kardashian and the photographer in the enclosed garage outside a West Hollywood gym. She filed a police report after the encounter.

Along with alleging she was hit in the face and suffered injuries to her arm and chest, photographer Kassandra Perez, real name Andra Viak, is saying her stolen property -- the memory card -- was worth approximately $30,000, according to April 30 court documents obtained by E! News. The card contained 1,200 pictures of celebs and about 300 freelance photos, the docs stated.

“The paparazzi alleged that while she was photographing Rob Kardashian, he grabbed her camera and removed the memory card,” Beverly Hills Police Department officials said in a statement at the time. “During the struggle, the paparazzi stated that she was struck in the face by Rob Kardashian.”

According the court papers, Kardashian was walking shirtless down a ramp in the garage when he realized he was being photographed. The suit calls it a public parking lot, while Rob has reportedly said the garage is closed to the public and accessed via a members-only security code. The “Dancing With the Stars” alum has reportedly been working on dropping 40 pounds or so that he gained in recent months.

“Kardashian quickly put on a T-shirt, looked to each side and then suddenly and unexpectedly ran toward [Viak’s] vehicle,” the papers said. “Without saying a word, Kardashian reached into [Viak’s] vehicle and violently attacked Viak, a woman half his size, in order to take [her] camera out of her hands.”

Viak offered to delete the pictures, according to the documents, then said she’d tell Kardashian how to delete and he could do it himself, but he allegedly took the memory card from the camera, tossed the camera back to her and said, “I’ll pay you when I see you.”

The lawsuit says that since the incident, Viak has been unable to pursue her “usual occupation,” resulting in loss of income. Without specifying an amount, the suit seeks general and compensatory damages, return of the memory card, punitive damages, court costs and attorneys’ fees.
The Beverly Hills Police Department said Tuesday that it is also investigating the incident as a possible felony robbery, E! News reported.

TMZ was the first to report the news.
