Nick and Vanessa Lachey expecting a boy, embracing her baby body

Vanessa Lachey and husband Nick have a boy on the way — and until the little guy shows up, he’ll be hanging out inside what was revealed this week to be a pretty foxy mommy tummy.

“We are expecting a baby boy,” the couple said Wednesday on Vanessa’s website. “We can’t wait to meet him soon!!!”

The former Vanessa Minnillo showed off her shape in a picture posted Tuesday on Twitterafter she’d urged followers the day before to play along: “#MaternityMonday,” she wrote. “Let’s embrace our changing bodies! Show me ur bump & I’ll show u mine! Let’s get creative!”

The TV host came through as promised Tuesday, delivering the photo seen above. “Thanks for sharing all your Beautiful baby bumps & embracing your bodies! As promised, here’s one @NickSLachey took.”

And speaking of boys: Nick Lachey’s boy band, 98 Degrees, is reuniting in August for one show only, the dad-to-be and his brother Drew Lachey announced Wednesday on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show.

“This music festival ... just kind of seemed like the right time to get back together and do a show and kick the tires and see how it feels,” Drew said, with Nick adding that the show will be “our one and only appearance,” despite enthusiasm out there for a reunion tour.

The band, which has been on hiatus since 2002, is part of the lineupfor the Summer Mixtape Festival in Hershey, Pa., on Aug. 18.
