Britney Spears debuted a new single Monday morning on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show, and though she’s dropped the fake English accent she put to such good use in her and will.i.am’s “Scream & Shout,” the pop star definitely hasn’t lost her taste for booming dance beats.

“Turn it up till the speakers pop,” she sings in “Ooh La La,” “Break it down, show me what you got.”

Produced by Dr. Luke, Ammo and Cirkut, “Ooh La La” rides a typically slick Euro-house groove but also has pretty guitar strums and the kind of high, delicate vocals we haven’t heard from Spears in a while. Pop fans with long memories might even be reminded of “Another Dumb Blonde,” the great 2000 single by Hoku.

Spears’ song, which you can hear below, comes from the soundtrack to “The Smurfs 2,” due out July 23 and set to include other tunes by Nelly Furtado and Becky G, as well as a new version of Right Said Fred’s early-’90s curio “I’m Too Sexy.”

According to a press release, it’s called “I’m Too Smurfy.”
