‘Low Winter Sun’ canceled; ‘Breaking Bad’ lead-in didn’t help

The sun has set on “Low Winter Sun.”

AMC has canceled the low-wattage drama about cops in Detroit caught up in a murder that premiered last August.

Despite huge interest in its lead-in -- episodes of the the final season of the hit “Breaking Bad”-- the series never caught on with a large audience and consistently drew low ratings.

“Low Winter Sun” was based on a British series. Mark Strong, who starred in the original series, and Lennie James starred in the AMC drama.
