AMC will give ‘Breaking Bad’ a finale marathon

“Breaking Bad” is about to conclude on AMC, and to give it one last hurrah, the cable channel is planning a major marathon of every “Breaking Bad” episode in the week before the final episode on Sept. 29.

This will come as especially good news for people who have been curious to be part of the show’s finale but aren’t Netflix subscribers. The first 4 1/2 seasons are available for binge-watching there.

But for those who want to watch the series straight from AMC, the marathon begins at 8 p.m. Wednesday and continues through to late Friday night. That will take you up through the end of Season 4. Then the marathon will resume, after a lengthy bathroom break, at 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, and play the rest of Season 5.

The final stretch of the marathon will lead right up to the first airing of the show’s final episode at 9 p.m. Sunday.

Sadly, there are no plans for a “Talking Bad” marathon following the final episode.

Though “Talking Bad” fans won’t be left out in the cold. The channel is planning to air an extended one-hour “Talking Bad” episode after the finale, with guests Vince Gilligan, Aaron Paul, Jesse Plemmons, RJ Mitte, Giancarlo Esposito, Jonathan Banks and Jimmy Kimmel.
