Capt. Stubing of “The Love Boat,” the vintage comedy about love connections on a huge cruise ship, has apparently traveled through some rocky seas.

And Gavin MacLeod, the actor who played Stubing, is getting ready to spill.

MacLeod has just penned a tell-all memoir, “This is Your Captain Speaking: My Fantastic Voyage Through Hollywood, Faith & Life” which details his six-decade career in show business, including his stint on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” as news writer Murray Slaughter.

The actor will visit Barnes & Noble in Manhattan Beach on Nov. 22 to discuss and sign his new book, in which he reveals the highs and lows of his life and career before his discovery of faith. He said his career was “no oversight success.”

Among the stories MacLeod tells are his experiences with several top actors, including Cary Grant, Ronald Reagan, Gregory Peck, Bette Davis and Frank Sinatra.
