Megan Fox to star for Avon’s new Instinct fragrances

Actress Megan Fox will star as the celebrity face of Avon’s new his-and-her Instinct fragrances, the company announced Wednesday.

The fragrances are set to launch in Europe this fall and in the U.S. in 2014.

The women’s scent is described as lush, fruity and floral with notes of camellia and sandalwood, while the men’s is woody, with notes of sage and ebony.

And the company has a ready explanation about why the “Transformers” actress got the job. “Evoking the intoxicating feeling of losing inhibitions and indulging desire, Instinct is an ode to the kind of sensuality that Fox embodies,” says a news release.

That seems reasonable enough. It might also help that her next movie, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” is due out next spring.
