Shooting in San Bernardino parking lot leaves one dead, four injured
San Bernardino police are investigating a shooting Monday night that left one man dead and four other people injured.
The shooting was reported shortly before 11:15 p.m. in the 300 block of East Baseline Street in the parking lot of a smoke store and a doughnut shop.
During the shooting, several rounds were fired and one victim, a 24-year-old man from Banning, was killed. Four other people -- three of them male -- were also shot and suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, according to police.
The shooting may have been gang-related, and some of the victims may also be suspects, police said.
It was a “pretty large crime scene,” said San Bernardino police spokesman Richard Lawhead.
There was a shooting at the same location the previous evening, but only a car was hit, Lawhead said.
