Bieber arrest video coming soon, if you’re into that sort of thing

Canadian pop star/cultural experiment Justin Bieber, one of the most documented humans out there right now, is about to make an exciting new appearance in some grainy police surveillance footage.

There could be up to 10 hours of it, in case you’d like to clear your schedule.

Bieber, now 19, entered a new stage of his public life when he was arrested a month ago on suspicion of drag-racing in Miami Beach while already under investigation for a felony egging incident (really) in Los Angeles County.

His toothy mugshot got plastered everywhere, along with courthouse video of him in an orange prison jumpsuit and an enormous hairdo.

If the exhausted voices on the other side of the phones at the Miami Beach Police Department and the Miami-Dade state attorney’s office are any indication, there’s a lot of media interest in the video, taken by surveillance cameras, of Bieber in police custody.

The state attorney’s office was expected to release the video, on nine DVDs, early Wednesday afternoon, at $135 for anybody interested.

Bieber’s attorneys had fought the release of footage apparently showing Bieber giving a urine test. A Miami-Dade County judge agreed to at least temporarily withhold the offending portions and was expected to hold a hearing on the matter next week.

Previous police reports said that on the day of his arrest Bieber was being generally uncooperative, slurring his words and cussing at a police officer who had pulled him over.

“Why the [expletive] are you doing this?” the report quoted Bieber as saying. Bieber was charged with misdemeanor DUI and resisting arrest.

Some video of Bieber in police custody has already been released, showing the rail-thin teen star famous for singing “Baby” getting frisked for weapons by a hulking cop.
