Pac-12 media day is a reunion of L.A. all-stars

Share

Whether on purporse or a coincidence, Pac-12 football coaches are bringing with them a number of former high school standouts from the Los Angeles area to represent their schools at media day in Culver City on Friday. It’s going to be a reunion of all-stars, many of whom have known each other for years.

Two former St. John Bosco standouts, receiver Bryce Treggs of California and quarterback Keith Price of Washington, will be representing their schools.

There’s also two former Gardena Serra receiver standouts, Marqise Lee of USC and Paul Richardson of Colorado.

For UCLA, former Loyola standout Anthony Barr will be representing the defense.

From Arizona State, making the trip will be former Corona Centennial defensive lineman Will Sutton. Former Crenshaw linebacker Hayes Pullard of USC will be talking about the Trojans’ defense.

Former Narbonne safety Sean Parker is coming from Washington. Former San Fernando cornerback Rashaad Reynolds will be representing Oregon State.

I think if they put Treggs and Lee on the podium together, the press would be forever grateful and no one else would need to talk. Both are great young men and great spokesmen.

So get ready for old high school rivalry stories to be flowing on Friday. Above is video from Treggs’ junior year in 2010 at St. John Bosco.
