Football: QB Alexander Diamont is heating up
With each game, Venice quarterback Alexander Diamont and the Venice offense gets better, and that’s bad news for City Section opponents.
In his last game for Venice (2-2), Diamont completed 23 of 36 passes for 351 yards and four touchdowns in a close loss to Oaks Christian. The Indiana-bound Diamont has passed for 863 yards and 12 touchdowns and also has three touchdowns running.
Next up for the Gondoliers in a Friday road game against Dorsey that will be televised live on Time Warner Cable.
A Venice victory could put the Gondoliers on a path to claim the No. 1 seed for the City Section Division I playoffs.
