Girls’ basketball: Division 6 final will be played on Monday [Updated]
Officials from the Southern Section and California Interscholastic Federation have reached agreement to move the Southern Section Division 6 girls’ basketball final between Shalhevet and Santa Maria Valley Christian to Monday at 5 p.m.at Oxnard College.
It was originally scheduled for Saturday night, but Shalhevet, an Orthodox Jewish school, cannot play from Friday afternoon to late Saturday night because of the Jewish Sabbath. Valley Christian can’t play from late Saturday night through late Sunday night.
