The Clippers’ big three of Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, the tri-captains, will warn their teammates about the upcoming trip.

They will tell their teammates to focus on the task at hand and to not look past the game in front of them.

Yes, the Clippers are about to start a seven-game, 11-day trip. Yes, the seven teams they will face have a combined record of 49-75. And, yes, only two of the teams have a .500 record.

But Griffin said they can’t look past any of those teams, starting with Wednesday night’s game against the Atlanta Hawks.

The Hawks are 9-10, but they are 5-3 at home.

Besides, the Clippers aren’t a healthy team, anyway.

Starting guard J.J. Redick is out six to eight weeks because of a broken right shooting hand and torn ligaments on the hand, and backup small forward Matt Barnes is recovering from retina surgery.

And it’s not as if the Clippers have been tearing it up on the road. They are 4-4 away from Staples Center.

“It’s our job -- C.P. and myself and DeAndre -- to keep reassuring everybody that we can’t look ahead,” Griffin said. “We have to take it one game at a time.

“Something we always say on the first game of a road trip: ‘You can’t win them all without winning the first one.’ So, that’s kind of the mindset that we have to have. Each game is the most important one. The one we’re about to play is the most important one because that’s the next one.”
