This is your mid-morning wake-up wipeout update.

Several top teams are padding stats today with games against inferior opponents.

No. 4 Ohio State, as expected, is just destroying Florida A&M.; The Buckeyes led after the first quarter, 34-27. That is, Ohio State had 34 points and Florida A&M; had 27 yards.

Ohio State rolled into halftime with a 55-0 lead. Quarterback Kenny Guiton, playing for the injured Braxton Miller, has set a school-record with six touchdown passes.

Ohio State led the total yards race, 326 to 54, and had 21 first downs to just one for Florida A&M.;

No. 7 Louisville is struggling by comparison, only leading Florida International, 38-0, at the half.

One surprising score so far was No. 9 Georgia only leading North Texas, 21-14, late in the second quarter.

Georgia was favored by 32 1/2 points but the Bulldogs may already be looking ahead to next week’s big Southeastern Conference showdown against Louisiana State in Athens.
