Update: The Nuggets started almost as poorly as the Lakers, until inching closer to .500 with a three-game winning streak. Denver beat New Orleans on Friday, 117-97, with Arron Afflalo and Kenneth Faried each scoring 19 points. The Lakers have lost six consecutive games to the Nuggets, something that had never happened since the teams started playing in 1976. The Lakers lost their three games to Denver last season by an average of 14 points.
