San Jose State punter is ejected for fighting
It’s not something you see every day, a punter getting ejected for fighting.
It happened Saturday, though, when San Jose State kicker Harrison Waid got tossed in the Spartans’ loss to Minnesota.
Waid, a fifth-year senior, was not happy when he got hit during an onsides kick attempt.
Minnesota won the game, 43-24, but not without an, um, fight.
Waid entered the season as San Jose State’s career punting leader with his 43-yards-per-kick average.
There is no record in his official San Jose State bio of Waid ever winning any Golden Gloves titles.
