USC football morning report: National signing day
Fact of the day: USC’s recruiting class is ranked No. 3 by Scout.com and No. 2 by Rivals.com.
Five recruits -- quarterback Ricky Town, linebacker Cameron Smith, receiver Isaac Whitney and offensive linemen Chuma Edoga and Roy Hemsley -- are enrolled for the spring semester.
USC can sign 19 more players; 16 have verbally committed.
The Trojans are considered the favorite for four local recruits who will announce Wednesday:
Gardena Serra defensive lineman Rasheem Green, 11:15 a.m. PST on ESPNU
Gardena Serra linebacker John Houston, 11:15 a.m. PST on ESPNU
Long Beach Poly defensive back Iman Marshall, 1 p.m. PST on ESPNU Los Angeles Salesian defensive lineman Kevin Scott, 1 p.m. on Fox Sports Prime Ticket
