Mary Hart, Burt Sugarman offer ski and golf retreat for $7.9 million
A ski and golf retreat owned by film and television producer Burt Sugarman and his wife, television host Mary Hart, is one the market in Big Sky, Mont., for $7.9 million.
Found within the 13,600-acre Yellowstone Club, the French country mountain-style home sits on 2.56 acres with views of the surrounding forest, mountains and the Tom Weiskopf-designed golf course.
Some 6,700 square feet of livable space features such rustic details as timber trusses, Rumford-style fireplaces and a hot tub built into a rock outcrop. Modern amenities include radiant in-floor heating, smart home features, a home theater and a wine bar/cellar.
The master suite has a fireplace and a bathroom lined in tumbled marble for a total of five bedrooms, six bathrooms and six fireplaces.
Two patios, a two-car garage and a private pond make up the outdoor spaces.
Sugarman and Hart intend to build a smaller home within Yellowstone Club, where they have been members for more than a decade.
They are also selling a 160-acre ranch in the community. Originally listed at $26.5 million in 2013, the property called Elk Horn Ranch is now priced at $21 million.
Earlier this year, the couple paid $8 million for a condominium at the celebrity-popular Sierra Towers, the most ever paid for a unit at the West Hollywood high-rise.
Hart, 64, hosted “Entertainment Tonight” from 1982 to 2011, setting a Guinness world record for longest-serving entertainment news host
Sugarman, 76, is known for producing game shows including “The Newlywed Game.” Among his film credits is the critically acclaimed “Children of a Lesser God” (1986).
Bill Collins of Yellowstone Club Real Estate is the listing agent.
