Ginger Rogers is among former owners of the 1927 Spanish-style home being sold by Frank Darabont

Director-producer-screenwriter Frank Darabont listed a house for sale in Los Feliz at $3.6 million and a day later it was in escrow.

The Spanish home, built in 1927, draws from early California and Monterey styles. Mahogany doors and windows, custom ironwork, hand-cut beams and arched ceilings are among details.

Living areas include a formal entry, dining and living rooms, an office, a wine tasting room, four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The detached guesthouse has been repurposed as a screening room.

A landscaped courtyard has a koi pond, colorful tile work and statuary.

Famed actress and dancer Ginger Rogers, who paired with Fred Astaire in numerous films, is among the previous owners.

Darabont, 56, directed the Oscar-nominated films “The Shawshank Redemption” (1994) and “The Green Mile” (1999). He was an executive producer during the 2010-12 seasons of the series “The Walking Dead,” which he also created.

The property previously changed hands in 1992 for $715,000, public records show.

Patricia Ruben of Sotheby’s International Realty is the listing agent.
