Dancer Mark Ballas executes some moves with Mid-Wilshire sale and Beverly Crest buy
Mark Ballas, a professional dancer and regular on “Dancing With the Stars,” appears to know his way around a real estate transaction as well as the dance floor.
The choreographer-singer-songwriter parted with his longtime Mid-Wilshire condo in late May for $840,000 and now has picked up a single-family home in the Beverly Crest area.
Earlier this year, the 29-year-old and fellow “DWTS” dancer Derek Hough sold a Studio City flip house for $1.85 million. They had bought the property more than a year earlier for $1.275 million.
The Mid-Wilshire penthouse Ballas sold in the Museo was a two-story loft with a patio and cityscape views. He apparently got the memo about gray being the “in” interior color. Spaces within the 1,410 square feet include three bedrooms, in-unit laundry and three bathrooms.
The building, constructed six years ago, has a gym. Andrew Gulyas of Premier West Group was the listing agent and Amir Torkamani of Esquire Real Estate Brokerage represented the buyer.
Ballas bought the penthouse in 2010 for $679,000.
The recent Beverly Crest purchase — the dancer spent $2.525 million on the ‘70s house in mid-July — has 4,614 square feet of living space on two stories. Living, family and dining rooms, a bonus room, five bedrooms, three full bathrooms and three partial bathrooms are among the living spaces.
Doug Lewiskin of Private Client Real Estate had the listing for the one-third-acre property.
