The two-story house features a cylindrical staircase, four fireplaces and beach-facing balconies and decks. Built in 1996, the four-bedroom, 31/2-bathroom home of more than 3,700 square feet sits on a quarter-acre lot with a pool.
Spade, 47, stars as single friend Russell on the romantic comedy "Rules of Engagement" (2007 to present). He is in the recently released film "Jack and Jill" and "Grown Ups" (2010), which reunited him with several former costars from his 1990s "Saturday Night Live" days. Among notable skits, Spade played Dick Clark's receptionist, repeatedly asking, "And you are?," and an annoying flight attendant who utters "buh-bye" as passengers disembark.
Public records show Spade bought the Malibu property in 2005 for $9.3 million
Bryan Harper of Coldwell Banker's Malibu Colony office is the listing agent, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
Time to live his 'one life' elsewhere
Actor Ryan Phillippe has put his home in the Sunset Strip area up for sale at $7.45 million.
With a master suite that takes up an entire level, the gated five-bedroom, seven-bathroom house contains 7,600 square feet of living space. Among its features are a gym, a media room and separate guest or office space. The more than half an acre of grounds includes a swimming pool, spa, sauna and an outdoor kitchen.
Phillippe, 37, starred in "The Lincoln Lawyer," released this year, and "The Bang Bang Club" (2010). He got his start in the early '90s on the soap opera "One Life to Live." Other acting credits include "Flags of Our Fathers" (2006) and "Cruel Intentions" (1999).
Public records show he bought the property for $7.175 million in 2008, after his eight-year marriage to actress Reese Witherspoon was over.
Penny Warren and Kathleen M. Holland of Coldwell Banker's Studio City office are the listing agents.
Even the pantry is super-sized
Consultant Shary Nassimi and his wife, Esther, have listed their six-acre Malibu estate at $15 million.
Shary Nassimi, of Nassimi Consulting and Gjenius Productions, envisioned the home for his family. Features include a 28-foot-tall foyer, a wine cellar, a gym and a swimming pool. A heated central courtyard connects living spaces for large-scale entertaining. The subterranean garage has room for as many as a dozen cars and extra storage. A 300-square-foot pantry and walk-in refrigerator sit near the elevator.
But not all the spaces are massive. "I brought down some areas to make them cozy," Nassimi said. "The den has a smaller-home feeling."
A portion of the kitchen ceiling appears to float to create a warmer environment, and the bedrooms have a more cloistered feeling, he said.
The more than 9,000-square-foot house, completed in 2007, includes seven bedrooms and 12 bathrooms.
Nassimi, whose varied pursuits include acting, photography and inventing, was previously a chief executive at Universal Wireless Solutions and, before that, at International Electronics.
Alla Furman, Connie Blankenship and Jeffrey Hyland of Hilton & Hyland, Beverly Hills, are the listing agents.
