Kristin Chenoweth, the pint-sized Broadway powerhouse, will be inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame this summer as the 43rd performer to receive the honor.

The star of “Wicked” is scheduled to appear at the June 21 opening night concert at the Bowl and will perform with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, led by Thomas Wilkins. The Los Angeles Philharmonic said other inductees and special guests will be announced later.

In recent years, Chenoweth has performed at the Bowl and at Walt Disney Concert Hall. Her appearance last year at a Bowl concert became an online viral hit when the actress plucked a seemingly random member of the audience for an impromptu duet.

Last year’s inductees were Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of the band Aerosmith, and singers Patti Austen and John Legend. Past Broadway performers to have received the honor include Nathan Lane, Patti LuPone and Bernadette Peters.

Chenoweth received a Tony Award in 1999 for “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” and an Emmy for the series “Pushing Daisies.” Her voice will be heard in the upcoming animated movie “Rio 2.”
