TV ratings: 'Millers' jumps as CBS wins; 'Wonderland' ends low

CBS was the top network Thursday night as "The Millers" surged week-to-week in the ratings, according to early numbers from Nielsen. 

The Will Arnett comedy, which drew 11.4 million viewers overall, earned a rating of 2.9 in the key 18-to-49-year-old demographic, surging 21% from its last original, when it was softened by March Madness preemptions. 

"The Big Bang Theory" was again the night's top show, drawing 17.4 million viewers total and a 4.9 in 18-49, in which a ratings point equals about 1.3 million people. Adding in preliminary numbers for "Two and a Half Men," "The Crazy Ones" and "Elementary," CBS averaged 10 million viewers and a 2.5 rating in the demo. 

The series finale for ABC's low-rated fairytale spinoff "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" fell 10% from last week, to a 0.9 in 18-49. "Grey's Anatomy" was flat with last week's 2.6, and top Thursday drama "Scandal" came down 10% to a 2.8. ABC was No. 2 for the night. 

Fox's lineup suffered from preemptions due to weather-related news coverage. If ratings hold, "Hell's Kitchen" and "American Idol" were both down a tenth of a point in 18-49, while the new comedy "Surviving Jack" dropped about 7% from its premiere. 

NBC's "Community" crashed 20% from its last outing to a low of 0.9. "Parks & Recreation" and "Parenthood" also posted declines, though "Hollywood Game Night" rose 10% from its last new episode, to a 1.1.
