Ben Affleck’s “Argo,” a drama about the Iranian hostage crisis, won the highest acting honor Sunday night at the 19th Screen Actors Guild Awards. The CIA thriller, which won best ensemble cast, also won the directing honor at the Golden Globe Awards two weeks ago and the best picture award at the Producer’s Guild Awards on Saturday night. Steven Spielberg‘s “Lincoln,” the musical epic “Les Miserables and the romantic comedy “Silver Linings Playbook” dominated the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Award nominations with four nominations apiece.

“Lincoln’s” Daniel Day-Lewis won the best male actor award and Jennifer Lawrence of the quirky dramedy “Silver Linings Playbook” won best female actress. Tommy Lee Jones of “Lincoln” and Anne Hathaway of the musical “Les Miserables” won in the supporting actor categories.

On the TV side, British import “Downton Abbey” took the prize for ensemble cast in a television drama series and the cast of the ABC show “Modern Family” won in the comedy category.
