Today was a pretty slow day in Lindsayland … just a bunch of actors speaking out in “support” of the troubled starlet. Yawn. Oh, yeah, and her movie came out. Turns out she’s an actress.… Who knew?

Sick of the Lindsay saga yet? So am I, so I promise to keep this short. Here are the most recent updates in the developing story, on a strictly need-to-know basis.

• Jill Stuart blames restaurants.... Now that’s original!

According to theinsideronline.com, Jill Stuart released the following statement regarding Lindsay’s recent missteps: “We continue to be supportive of Lindsay and her family’s efforts to get back on track and on a healthful road to sobriety and rehabilitation, as anyone who has had a friend or loved one struggle with the disease of alcoholism and addiction knows all too well. I would also question the virtuosity of any investigation or prosecution, especially in L.A., where all of these high-profile stories are emanating from, that also does not address the source, namely the restaurants and bars that comp these young people and the paparazzi that harass them relentlessly.”

Could Ms. Stuart’s support for Ms. Lohan have anything to do with the fact that Linds just shot an ad campaign for Jill’s clothing line?

• “I Know Who Killed Me”

Amid all the drama, Lindsay’s movie, “I Know Who Killed Me,” opened last weekend. Nobody noticed. The critically panned flick debuted at No. 9 at the box office.

• “I can’t get in trouble. I’m a celebrity.”

Although the details of the chase remain hazy at best, three men who claim to have been in the car with Lindsay at the time of the incident have now given their side of the story.

In a video shown on KTLA Channel 5, the men claim that after leaving a party in Malibu, Lindsay chased her assistant back to Santa Monica on Pacific Coast Highway, driving 100 mph. When the passengers expressed concern, they say, Lindsay countered, “I can’t get in trouble. I’m a celebrity.”

When the wild ride finally ended, the men assert that Lindsay blatantly lied to a police officer, saying, “The black kid was driving.”

• A frantic call

Well, folks, KTLA played the famous 911 tape, and it’s pretty spooky. The caller, believed to be Lindsay’s assistant’s mother, sounds absolutely frantic.

“Oh, my God, sir, they’re following us. We need help,” she begs.

• Michael Lohan to open rehab center?

As if Lindsay’s legal battle wasn’t enough, msnbc.msn.com reports that Michael and Dina Lohan just returned to court to argue about Michael’s failure to pay child support. When the judge grilled Michael about his financial situation, he informed the judge that come September, he should be making a steady income … when he opens his very own rehab facility!
