Since the couple went their separate ways in August, he's said on several occasions that they were trying to keep their marriage together. They have two children together, Dylan, 13, and Carys, who turns 11 on Sunday.
"We were just taking a little break. We're talking. I think everything will be fine, and I'm very hopeful," he said backstage at the Emmys in September after winning a trophy for "Candelabra."
Douglas' mother, Diana Dill, told Hello! magazine in March that the couple were "together" and said parents and children were living together as a family after Zeta-Jones moved into "a house next door."
Looks as though things are working out for the best.
