They'll always have Seaside: "Jersey Shore" alum Ronnie Magro and Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola have officially called it quits.
Seriously, shouldn't the statute of limitations on their romance have expired already? The pair met on the MTV reality series in 2009 and when it ended in 2012, they seemed to be back on.
But a lot could change in two years. Now the on-again, off-again couple, whose tumultuous relationship played out during six seasons, seem to be done for good, according to Magro.
The show's resident juicehead, 28, broke the news to the media Tuesday during the premiere of former costar Jenni "JWoww" Farley's new film, "Jersey Shore Massacre."
"We were drifting apart and not really spending any time together," the fist-pumping reality star told People. They reportedly ended things about two months ago.
"We just grew our separate ways," he told Us Weekly. And while that's not the most eloquent way to describe their relationship's conclusion, the man had nice things to say about his former flame.
"She's still a great person. I love her as a person and I care about her but we went our separate ways. That's it," he continued, adding he wasn't seeing anybody (He's actually taking acting classes at UC Santa Barbara).
Giancola, 27, echoed her ex's sentiments.
"At this time, Ronnie and I have gone our separate ways," she told E! News. "I wish him nothing but the best. Right now, I'm focused on myself."
It's probably for the best: The drama-laden duo used to split up and get back together faster than they reapplied self-tanner...
