‘Big Bang Theory’ raises: Stars may band together for bigger paychecks

It’s not just theoretical: The stars of “The Big Bang Theory” may band together for a big pay raise.

Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco currently make about $350,000 apiece per episode for CBS’ smash sitcom about a group of Cal Tech nerds and their hot blond friend, according to Radar Online.

But they want a hike to $500,000 per episode for the season that would start in fall 2014.

To do that, the report says, their talent reps would work with each other as they renegotiate with Warner Bros. studio executives, on the theory that the major cast members have more power together than apart.

That strategy was employed successfully by the cast of NBC’s “Friends,” with the six principals each getting $1 million per episode before the show ended its run.

“Big Bang” -- which premieres its seventh season next week -- has turned into a mammoth syndication hit and could ultimately deliver more than $1 billion in revenue for Warner Bros.

Spokespersons for CBS and Warner Bros. declined comment.
