Adele to sing for James Bond again?

Call him the spy who (really) loved her.

A week after Adele’s “Skyfall” became the first James Bond theme to win the Academy Award for original song, producers for the spy-film franchise have drafted Adele to sing for the next Bond movie, as well, according to a report in England’s Sun newspaper.

“[They’re] thrilled by how well the song has been received and hope Adele’s presence on the next film will replicate that success,” said an unnamed source. “They want her to become as synonomous with Bond as Dame Shirley [Bassey].”

Known for a string of classic Bond themes (including “Diamonds Are Forever”), 76-year-old Bassey sang “Goldfinger” on the Oscars telecast, which also featured Adele performing “Skyfall.” Both songs enjoyed significant sales boosts in the days following the ceremony, wrote Keith Caulfield at Billboard, with “Skyfall” jumping to No. 61 from No. 83 on the Hot 100.

The Adele tune -- co-written and produced by Paul Epworth, who worked with the singer on “Rolling in the Deep” -- also won a Golden Globe and a BRIT Award. Listen to it below.
