Fox gives first look at ‘24: Live Another Day’

After four long years with no Jack Bauer to cheer, fans finally got their first peek at Kiefer Sutherland back in action as the take-no-prisoners anti-terrorism crusader with an ad for “24: Live Another Day” that played during the Super Bowl.

The 12-episode limited series isn’t scheduled to air until May 5, so there’s not a lot to show viewers yet. But what was shown seemed to promise a lot more over-the-top action.

The series, which is filming in London, will take Jack and his trusty sidekick, Chloe O’Brien (Mary Lynn Rajskub), across the pond to combat the terrorist threat in Britain. But if the teaser, with its explosions and a overturned, bullet-riddled car is any indication, Jack needs to work a bit harder.

Other returning “24” veterans include Kim Raver, who plays Jack’s sometime love interest, Audrey; and William Devane, who plays Audrey’s father and also happens to be the president of the United States.

Joining the cast for the limited series are Stephen Fry, Judy Davis and Benjamin Bratt.

The good news is that even though four years have passed, it seems that Jack Bauer still isn’t above screaming a lot. And a good, screaming Jack Bauer is the best kind of Jack Bauer.
