Alice Walker, a Pulitzer Prize winner for her novel “The Color Purple,” is celebrated on “American Masters.” 9 p.m. KOCE

Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy followed up 1995’s “Before Sunrise” and 2004’s “Before Sunset” with 2013’s “Before Midnight.” If that pattern holds, watch for “Before Noon” in 2022. 9 p.m. Starz
