Beanie bounty: Adam Levine’s apparel collection hits Kmart
The exclusive-to-Kmart Adam Levine apparel and accessories collection that hit the retailer’s website in mid-September is in 500 brick-and-mortar stores as of Tuesday.
Based on a quick flip through the website, the collection is about what might be expected from a label bearing the name of the Maroon 5 frontman and “The Voice” coach -- crewneck T-shirts, gingham, plaid and chambray button-front shirts, henleys, cardigan sweaters, skinny jeans and a smattering of accessories that includes scarves and wide, faux-leather belts (one of which sports hammered studs).
What I found most intriguing was the deep bench of knit beanies on offer. Adding up the various style and color options, there are 13 in all, including a textured slouch beanie (available in four colors), a chevron-knit beanie (three colors), a rib-knit version (four color choices) and two takes on the Fair Isle knit (one of those versions can be seen in the above photo).
Prices of the Adam Levine collection currently available at Kmart’s website range from $9.99 (for one of the aforementioned beanies) to $39.99 (for a fleece-lined knit blazer or a French terry shawl-collar cardigan) though prices climb as steep as $69.99* for a few of the outerwear pieces (like the camouflage jacket in the above photo).
