Carly Rae Jepsen had the best of both worlds when it comes to fashion at the Fourth Annual amfAR Inspiration Gala in New York City on Thursday night.

To perform, the singer wore a cobalt blue trouser suit from L.A.M.B.

But before that, she got to be all girly on the red carpet in a diaphanous white gown with a yellow underlay from Carlie Wong's spring 2013 collection.

Other notable looks included Uma Thurman in a strapless fuchsia gown by Atelier Versace and Jennifer Lopez in a skin-tight, high-necked, long-sleeved gown by Tom Ford.

Lopez was among the night's honorees, receiving the Humanitarian Award from the group, which is dedicated to ending AIDS around the world. Legendary fashion designer Valentino Garavani took home the Inspiration Award and actor Alan Cumming received the Courage Award, which was presented by Liza Minnelli.
