George Clooney may be considering ‘Downton Abbey’ site for wedding

Now that the Kim Kardashian/Kanye West wedding extravaganza is behind us, we can look ahead to the George Clooney/Amal Almuddin wedding, scheduled for September. It might be in as notable a location as the Kimye affair, which was split between Versailles (for the rehearsal) and an Italian fortress built by the Medicis (Forte Belvedere) for the ceremony. Clooney and Almuddin may be considering Highclere Castle near London, the setting for “Downton Abbey,” where they recently were treated to a private tour. [Daily Mail]

The Kardashian-West wedding wasn’t the only celebrity-packed matrimonial event over the weekend. Poppy Delevingne had Part 2 of her wedding festivities with a party in Marrakesh, Morocco, described as a “hippie rave” and attended by her model sister Cara, Pucci creative director Peter Dundas, fashion designer Matthew Williamson, Sienna Miller, Alexa Chung, Arizona Muse, Georgia May Jagger and Jessica Hart, among others. Meanwhile, actress Lisa Edelstein, of “House” and the upcoming “Girlfriends Guide to Divorce” on Bravo, got married on Sunday to artist Robert Russell. [People]

“Glee’s” Lea Michele is scheduled to sing a duet with Kristin Chenoweth when the “Wicked” star is inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame on June 21. Also to be inducted are Pink Martini and the Go-Gos. [Society News LA]
