Style expert George Kotsiopoulos is scheduled to host the opening night fashion show at 6:30 Thursday to kick off a weekend celebration of fashion, beauty and home style at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.
Kotsiopoulos, of E's "Fashion Police," is to co-host with Merle Ginsberg of the Hollywood Reporter, which is co-sponsor of the weekend's activities.
The fashion show, on Level One of the Jewel Court, will present designs by Bruni, Canali, Chloe, Dior, Fendi, Lanvin, Max Mara, Oscar de la Renta, Salvatore Ferragamo and Versace.
Other events during the weekend include:
- MAC beauty exhibit and model demonstration, noon to 7 p.m. Friday, Level One, Jewel Court in the main building at 3333 Bristol St.
- "Fashionably Friday" makeup and hair show with MAC's Gregory Alt and Sassoon's Edward Tedeschi, 7 p.m. Friday, Level Two at AnQi by Crustacean.
- Live fashion and beauty modeling, 4 p.m. Saturday, Level Two of the Crate & Barrel/Macy's Home Store building, which is at the corner of Bear Street and Sunflower Avenue. There will also be other beauty demos throughout the mall.
- Kathryn Ireland of Bravo's "Million Dollar Decorators" is slated to chat about Hollywood home trends with the Hollywood Reporter's Degen Pener and Alexandria Abramian from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at nearby South Coast Plaza Village, 1631 Sunflower Ave.

Actress Daniella Monet, known for her role as Trina Vega on Nickleodeon's "Victorious," is scheduled to meet and greet children and tweens from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at South Bay Galleria at an event focused on ending bullying. It's part of the national Malls and Retailers Unite Against Bullying campaign. There will be free lemondae and pizza for kids, plus coloring and other actvities. The mall is at 1815 Hawthorne Blvd., Redondo Beach.
Fashion, music and food are on tap for Na Wehi: Sandwich Island Fashion, which is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Halau O Lilinoe Event Center, 305 W. Torrance Blvd., Carson. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased by calling (805) 558-1039. Proceeds are to benefit the Sandwich Islands Network nonprofit radio station.
A Current Affair's fall vintage pop-up market is scheduled from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Cooper Design Space, 860 S. Los Angeles St., Los Angeles. Tickets are $20 for early entry at 2 p.m. or $10 for entry at 3 p.m. or later. They may be purchased on Eventbrite.
The Left Shoe Company, which makes made-to-measure shoes for men, is partnering with J. Hilburn custom clothing for a "Made to Measure Monday" event from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday. Men can be fit for custom clothing and shoes while enjoying Monday night football, appetizers from An Catering by Crustacean and a small batch Scotch tasting. Kamofie & Co. is hosting a Champagne reception for author Beth Bernstein and her new book "Jewelry's Shining Stars" from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 10 at 1350 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and in furtherance of the cause, 37 participating Westfield shopping centers are offering coupon books of special deals that customers can download for $5. All proceeds from sales of the Bright Pink Book are to be donated to Giuliana Rancic's Fab U Wish charity and nonprofit Bright Pink. The deals and discounts are good through the month of October. City of Eyes by Alexander Daas has opened at 161 N. Larchmont Blvd., Los Angeles. The store carries optical frames and sunglasses by Daas and other brands including Mykita, Barton Perreira, Oliver Peoples, Salt and Matsuda.
H&M plans to open a new store at the Collection Riverpark in Oxnard at noon on Thursday. The store will carry men's, women's and children's clothing and accessories. In celebration of the opening, the first 100 customers in line are to receive free H&M T-shirts and an "Access to Fashion Pass" worth $10 to $300 in savings. The shopping center is at 2751 Park View Court in Oxnard.
