Kim Kardashian was walking along a street in Beverly Hills when a gust of wind caught her full skirt, blowing it upward in a scene similar to Marilyn Monroe’s famous skirt-billowing episode in “The Seven Year Itch.” Kardashian was able to keep the skirt from revealing too much, though. Wal-Mart and Gap are now leading a group that’s trying to formulate its own proposal for improving safety and conditions for garment workers in Bangladesh, the scene of a number of plant tragedies including the collapse of an eight-story building in Rana Plaza in April. The effort lags behind a number of European retailers that have already begun working on safety efforts -- Wal-Mart and Gap both faced criticism earlier for failing to join in those efforts.
