Everyone’s a star at Macy’s benefit for AIDS Project Los Angeles

The event: Partygoers waved light sticks and slipped flashing rings onto their fingers as they massed on the balcony, dance floor and courtyard at Create Nightclub in Hollywood on Tuesday night for Macy’s Passport presents Glamorama: Fashion Rocks. Food, fashion and electronic dance music combined to make for a rocking party, organized to raise funds for AIDS Project Los Angeles.

For anyone with an appetite, Chef Todd English sent out trays of turkey burger sliders, truffled tater tots, spicy tuna tartare and other treats. For TV watchers, screens showed “Fashion Rocks,” the CBS special emanating from New York’s Fashion Week starring Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, Usher and more.

The show: Jason Derulo headlined the local shindig, performing after models paraded onto the stage in Tallia Orange and 2Xist fashions. Throughout the evening, Grammy-nominated deejay Paul Oakenfold took charge of the music.

The crowd: In the mix were author Katherine Schwarzenegger (daughter of former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver), rapper T. Mills, songwriter Bonnie McKee and TV and film personalities Morgan Stewart of “Rich Kids of Beverly Hills,” Danielle Vasinova of “White Trash Noir;” Emily Osment of “Young & Hungry,” Ross Matthews of “Hello Ross,” Peyton List of “Jessie,” Shenae Grimes of “90210,” Tara Reid of “American Pie” and Jonathan Bennett of “Mean Girls” with his “Dancing With the Stars” partner Allison Holker.

The numbers: An estimated 1,500 tickets were sold for $85 and $250, but final results haven’t yet been tallied.
